Inspiring radical growth – Jupiter Trine Uranus

It has been said before that my astro posts seem to focus on the doom and gloom, the difficulties and challenges. And there’s some truth in that, I sort of figure that we’ll just flow with the good times, take the best of those energies without even having to know that that is what is going on. But when it comes to the more challenging stuff, it helps to be forewarned, to have some guidance in understanding and working through the trials and tribulations.

But today it’s different, today there’s an aspect that is all the good stuff … well, good stuff if you want excitement, creativity and change! Jupiter, the planet of growth and expansion is just beginning a Trine aspect to Uranus, the planet of originality, freedom and unconventionality. This transit will be going in and out over the next six months, so if you’re in tune with it, expect this period to be the beginning of some radical but deliciously exciting evolution.

Jupiter is about truth, Uranus is about individuality. When these two work together we have an opportunity to unfold our own potential truth, and when this is going on for everyone, self-becoming and the manifesting of universal connection is possible.

The Trine is happening at the 15 degree point of Aries (Uranus) and Leo (Jupiter), so anyone who has any planets at these points will be being especially affected. And then, as other planets hit the 15 degree Sagittarius point, which Mars will do around about the time of the October Full Moon eclipse, we get a Grand Fire Trine and a massive burst of energy to power the inspirational and creative change of Jupiter and Uranus.

The fascinating thing is that this means Jupiter is hitting the last gasps of the Pluto-Uranus square , providing impetus for the transformation that this ‘evolve or evaporate’ energy is demanding of us on a personal, social and planetary level.

This is exciting astro stuff … anything that has been stuck in recent times has the chance to be shifted. Take notice of anything that is creating restlessness, because that’s the flag that will show what needs to change and the direction for growth.

And expect the world to be a different place. Everything is unfolding as it should!

New Moon

An auspicious New Moon

It’s a New Moon day, and an auspicious one at that! The New moon is in the first degree of Libra, and it is exact around 4.13pm (AEST). New Moons are always an opportunity to invite in new energies, and with the Libran influence, this means new energies in the realm of love and partnership. This is a time to examine the ideals we have in relationship, to look at how real we are being, to challenge whether we are naively holding on to an illusion or whether we are willing to fight for what we believe in. Sometimes it is not so easy to tell the difference, and this New Moon is a time when we have an opportunity to get clear, and to find the guidance in what we believe.

The recent Pluto shift to moving forward, along with Mars Square Neptune has probably highlighted the beliefs and areas of our lives where we have allowed delusion to take control and where we are being demanded to transform into realness.

This New Moon marks the beginning of the eclipse period (with an Aries Full Moon eclipse on 8th October and a Scorpio New Moon eclipse on 24th October). And it also brings back the ‘evolve or evaporate’ energies of the Pluto-Uranus square, the major aspect that has been dominating us on a personal and global level since 2012 and is about to move into its final phase before it leaves us in 2015. Now is the time to really bring in the transformation, to embody with thought, belief, feeling and action, what we want to bring in to the next phase of our own evolution. It is a time to do it with both grace and power!

Pluto, retrogrades

Metamorphosis ….Pluto stationary direct

I’m sure you’ve heard of Mercury retrograde, it is a time when Mercury is moving backwards relative to the Earth. Other planets have retrograde periods too, and Pluto (and yes, we’re referring to Pluto as a planet, it’s energy is powerful enough, so the label hardly matters!) has been retrograde since 14th April. Over the next 24 hours it stops and turns around to direct motion (relative to the Earth). This is a time when the energy of Pluto is especially powerful, and Pluto is already profound in its influence. Its energy demands that we transform, that we go through a process of death and re-birth, it is like a metamorphosis.

There are likely things in your life that have been undergoing change and challenge since mid-April, and now is the time when you must transmute those things, be ready for a new you. This calls for a deep trust in the ways of nature and in oneself. It requires letting go of that which needs to pass away and allowing the new to come forth, without knowing what is to come. The choice is either to let go of control and allow change to pass through your life, or to get caught up in out-of-control behaviors, addictions and power struggles, both within and without.

Pluto is turning around at about 11 degrees of Capricorn, so it will be affecting that area of your life where this point falls in your chart. If you have another planet at this point, or at 11 degrees of any of the other cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra), it will be that aspect of yourself where transformation is being demanded. For example, if you have Venus at one of these points, then this period is a time when relationships will be intense and maybe a bit obsessive, you are being forced to throw out your old way of relating and bring in a completely new code for attracting love. If it is Mars at these points, then the Pluto influence will be about ego, self assertion and power.
